Most Your Stepmom achievements are straightforward once you know whether they depend on a skin swap, a random action, or a specific time window. The quickest unlocks come from simply launching the game and using the Stepmom change options from the taskbar or Workshop menus.
The only ones that can be annoying are the time-based achievements, especially Good Night Stepmom, because it reportedly requires her to spawn asleep at the right hour rather than just leaving the game open. If an achievement does not pop right away, keep trying the same trigger and cycle skins until the correct state appears.
Original Stepmom
The original achievement is the easiest one:
- Open the game
- Let it load normally
- The achievement should unlock from simply starting up
DLC Stepmom
For the free DLC achievement:
- Install the free DLC from the Store page
- Open the game
- Go to the taskbar menu
- This is the arrow pointing up near the small icons beside your volume
- Right-click the Your Stepmother icon
- Change her into the DLC skin
Workshop Stepmom
Workshop Stepmom works the same way as the DLC version, except you use the Workshop menu instead of the DLC skin path.
- Open the Workshop menu
- Apply a Workshop skin to Stepmom
- Wait for the achievement to trigger
Dancing Stepmom and Exercising Stepmom
These two come from random actions Stepmom can perform.
If you do not want to wait for the right animation, the fastest approach is to spam Change Stepmom until the game rolls the one you need. That is the practical way to force the random-action achievements without sitting through repeated idle cycles.
Raging Stepmom
Raging Stepmom follows the same general idea as Dancing Stepmom and Exercising Stepmom, but it was bugged at launch. It now works, so the same method applies:
- Use the same change-skin approach
- Keep cycling until the correct state appears
Good Morning Stepmom
Good Morning Stepmom is time-based.
Reportedly, logging in between 9 AM and 10 AM works, though the usable window may be a little wider. If you do not want to wait for the clock naturally, you can change your PC date and time settings.
A practical way to handle it:
- Set your system time to the morning window
- Enter the game
- If she spawns sleeping, keep cycling Change Stepmom until the correct state appears
- Wait until she fully gets up before assuming the trigger has failed
Some players have reported earning it outside the exact 9-10 window, so the timing may be broader than it first appears.
Good Night Stepmom
Good Night Stepmom is the trickiest achievement and the one most likely to mislead players.
It appears to work between 2 AM and 3 AM, but the important detail is that she does not seem to fall asleep randomly. Leaving the game overnight may do nothing. She needs to spawn asleep for the achievement to register.
Fast method
- Change your PC date and time to 2 AM
- Enter the game
- Spam Change Stepmom until she spawns asleep, if she is not already
- Leave her alone and wait for her to wake up
- The achievement should pop after about 10 minutes
That wake-up delay is the key part of the unlock, so do not quit too early if she starts asleep and nothing happens immediately.
If a time-based achievement does not unlock
If Good Morning Stepmom or Good Night Stepmom refuses to trigger, the usual issues are:
- Wrong hour
- Stepmom spawned in the wrong state
- The game needed another skin swap to reroll her state
- You left before she fully woke up
The safest fix is to reset the time window, re-enter the game, and keep using Change Stepmom until the correct spawn state appears.
