Hey everyone! Welcome to the big book of awesome orb combos. I have been deep in the mines, figuring out what happens when you smash these shiny orbs together, and this is what I have found so far.

Heads up: This guide is still a living thing! I am constantly updating it as I find new, crazy synergies. If you discover a combination that is not on this list, please drop a comment and share your wisdom. I will get it added right away so everyone can benefit. Let us build this compendium together!


Bleed Combos: Making Them Suffer

These combinations are all about stacking that sweet, sweet bleed damage.

Vampire Lord

Vampire Lord This is your go-to for a lifesteal build. Every single hit slaps the enemy with 3 bleed stacks. Once you have stacked at least 10 bleeds on a single target, your next hit will consume all those stacks and heal you for 1 health. It is a fantastic way to stay topped off in long fights. (You can also craft this using a Dark orb!)

Leech

Leech Why do the work yourself? When this orb hits, it attaches a nasty leech to your enemy. That little guy will just sit there, stacking up 2 bleed stacks every single second, all the way up to a whopping 24 stacks. It is perfect for softening up big targets while you deal with other threats.

Virus

Virus Talk about contagious! This applies a disease stack (up to 8) that ticks for 3-6 damage per second for 6 seconds. But here is the best part: diseased enemies have a 15% chance every second to spread a stack to their nearby, healthy friends. This can absolutely tear through packed rooms. (Also works with Cell and Ghost orbs!)

Berserk

Berserk Turn your enemies against each other! Every hit has a solid 30% chance to make an enemy go berserk for 6 seconds. While they are enraged, they will start blasting their own allies for 15-24 damage every second. This is pure chaos and incredibly effective. (You can also get this using a Burn orb.)

Sacrifice

Sacrifice This orb hits with a double whammy. First, it drops 4 bleed stacks (up to 15). Second, it applies a curse. When you hit that cursed enemy 5 times (from any source!), the curse pops for a sweet 50-100 bonus damage. It is a great way to mark a high-priority target for death.

Hemorrhage

Hemorrhage This is the elite-killer, the boss-melter. It applies 3 bleed stacks on its own. But if you hit an enemy that already has 12 or more bleed stacks, this orb consumes them all to instantly chunk away 20% of their CURRENT health. This is absolutely devastating on high-health targets. Time your shots for maximum profit!


Brood Mother Combos: Welcome to the Family

For those who like to build their own army of… things.

Leech

Leech A classic for a reason. Hitting an enemy attaches a leech that automatically stacks up 2 bleed per second on its host, maxing out at 24 stacks. It is free damage-over-time, letting you focus on your next shot.

Maggot

Maggot Gross, but effective! This infests enemies with maggots on hit. When that enemy finally dies, it explodes into 1 or 2 baby balls for you! This is how you start flooding the screen with your own army.

Spider Queen

Spider Queen The queen of spawning. Every time this orb strikes an enemy, it has a 25% chance to birth an Egg Sac. More egg sacs mean more spiders, and more spiders mean more winning.

Mosquito King

Mosquito King This orb is amazing for both damage and sustain. It spawns a mosquito every time it hits an enemy. These mosquitos fly off and hit a random enemy for a solid 80-120 damage. The bonus? If a mosquito gets the killing blow, it steals 1 health and gives it to you.


Burn Combos: Watch the World Melt

Set everything on fire. It is that simple.

Bomb

Bomb Exactly what it sounds like. When this orb hits an enemy, it explodes, dealing a massive 150-300 damage to everything nearby. It is a fantastic crowd-clearer. Just be aware, it has a 3 second cooldown after you shoot it, so you cannot just spam it.

Magma

Magma This is the ‘floor is lava’ build. The orb itself emits lava blobs as it flies. Any enemy foolish enough to walk into these blobs takes 15-30 damage and gets a stack of burn (up to 3). Even the orb and its blobs deal 6-12 damage to nearby units just by existing. Great for area denial.

Inferno

Inferno Become a walking bonfire. This orb constantly applies 1 stack of burn every second to all enemies within a 2 tile radius of you. The burn lasts for 6 seconds and ticks for 3-7 damage per stack. Just get in the middle of a group and watch them all light up.

Berserk

Berserk Want to start a mosh pit? This orb has a 30% chance on hit to make enemies go berserk for 6 seconds. Berserk enemies will attack their friends, dealing 15-24 damage to anyone adjacent to them every second. (This also works with Bleed!)

Sun

Sun Praise the Sun! This orb is an absolute monster. It blinds all enemies in view and starts applying 1 stack of burn every second (up to 5). This burn is potent, too, dealing 6-12 damage per stack per second for 6 seconds. A total screen-clearer.

Frozen Flame

Frozen Flame This is a nasty debuff. On hit, it applies 1 stack of frostburn for 20 seconds (max 4 stacks). Frostburnt enemies not only take 8-12 damage per stack per second, but they also receive 25% more damage from all other sources. This is how you melt a boss.


Cell Combos: Biological Warfare

Divide and conquer with these multiplying and mutating orbs.

Maggot

Maggot A gift that keeps on giving. Infest enemies with maggots on hit. When they die, they burst open, spawning 1-2 baby balls. It is a great way to build up your ball count during a fight.

Overgrowth

Overgrowth This is a time bomb. It applies 1 stack of overgrowth on hit. When an enemy gets to 3 stacks, all stacks are consumed and it triggers a 0-200 damage explosion in a 3x3 square. It is fantastic for clearing out tight groups.

Radiation Beam

Radiation Beam Melt their defenses. This orb emits a radiation beam on hit, dealing 24-48 damage and applying 1 stack of radiation (up to 5). Radiation is a powerful debuff that makes enemies receive 10% more damage from all sources per stack. Lasts 15 seconds.

Voluptuous Egg Sac

Voluptuous Egg Sac This is an orb that shoots more orbs. When it hits an enemy, it explodes into 2-3 new egg sacs. It is an instant force multiplier, but it does have a 3 second cooldown before you can fire it again.

Virus

Virus Share the love. This applies 1 stack of disease (max 8) that ticks for 3-6 damage per second. Diseased units have a 15% chance each second to pass a stack to their friends. It is the gift that keeps on giving. (Also works with Bleed and Ghost!)


Charm Combos: Make Friends, Not War

Why kill them when you can make them fight (or heal) for you?

Succubus

Succubus A low-chance, high-reward orb. Each hit has a 4% chance of charming the enemy for a long 9 seconds. While they are charmed, they fight for you. As a bonus, hitting a charmed enemy heals you for 1 health.

Berserk

Berserk Not quite charming, but just as chaotic. Gives a 30% chance to make enemies go berserk for 6 seconds, causing them to attack their allies for 15-24 damage every second. (Also works with Bleed.)

Incubus

Incubus This is the advanced version of charm. It also has a 4% chance to charm an enemy for 9 seconds. The real magic? Charmed enemies will curse their nearby allies! Cursed enemies take a bonus 100-200 damage after being hit 5 times.

Lovestruck

Lovestruck This is the pacifist’s dream. It inflicts lovestruck on enemies for 20 seconds. Lovestruck units have a 50% chance of healing you for 5 health every time they try to attack you. Turn your enemies into mobile health packs! (Also works with Lightning!)


Dark Combos: Masters of Shadow

Embrace the darkness for high-risk, high-reward gameplay.

Vampire Lord

Vampire Lord The classic lifesteal orb. Every hit applies 3 bleed stacks. When you hit an enemy with 10 or more stacks, you consume them all to heal for 1 health. Essential for survival. (Also works with Bleed.)

Assassin

Assassin For the stealthy player. This orb passes through the front of enemies (but not their backs). If you manage to hit an enemy from behind, you get a juicy 30% bonus damage for a backstab. (Also works with Ghost.)

Phantom

Phantom Mark your targets. This curses enemies on hit. After a cursed enemy gets hit 5 times (by anything!), the curse detonates for 100-200 damage.

Sacrifice

Sacrifice A slightly different flavor of curse. This applies 4 bleed stacks (max 15) AND applies a curse. This specific curse pops for 50-100 damage after 5 hits.

Incubus

Incubus Make them curse each other! A 4% chance to charm an enemy for 9 seconds. The charmed enemy then spreads curse to their allies, setting them up for a 100-200 damage detonation.

Black Hole

Black Hole The ultimate “delete” button for regular enemies. This orb instantly kills the first non-boss enemy it touches. The catch? The orb destroys itself in the process and has a 7 second cooldown. Use it to remove a high-priority target.

Noxious

Noxious A cloud of death. This orb passes through enemies and applies 3 stacks of poison to all enemies within a 2 tile radius. The poison ticks for 1-3 damage per stack for 4 seconds. (Also works with Poison.)

Flicker

Flicker Annoy every single enemy on the map. This orb deals a small 1-7 damage to every enemy on screen every 1.4 seconds. It is not much, but it adds up and can finish off stragglers.


Earthquake Combos: Reshape the Battlefield

Control the ground beneath their feet with these terrain-altering orbs.

Magma

Magma Leave a trail of fire. This orb emits lava blobs that deal 15-30 damage and apply 1 stack of burn (max 3) to enemies who walk in them. The orb and blobs also have a small damage aura.

Swamp

Swamp Slow them to a crawl. This orb leaves behind tar blobs that deal 15-30 damage, slow enemies by 50% for 7 seconds, and apply 1 stack of poison (max 8). It is the ultimate crowd control.

Glacier

Glacier Stop them in their tracks. This orb releases glacial spikes that deal 15-30 damage and freeze enemies solid for 2 seconds. Like the others, it also has a small damage aura.

Sandstorm

Sandstorm A blinding, cutting storm. This orb goes through enemies and is surrounded by a storm that deals 10-20 damage per second and blinds any nearby enemies for 3 seconds.

Overgrowth

Overgrowth Set a 3x3 trap. This applies 1 stack of overgrowth on hit. At 3 stacks, it consumes them all to deal 0-200 damage to all enemies in a 3x3 square. Great for grouped-up enemies.


Eggsack Combos: The Swarm Is Coming

Unleash a horde of smaller, angrier things.

Spider Queen

Spider Queen The original spawner. Every hit has a 25% chance to birth another Egg Sac, letting you quickly fill the screen with your spider babies.

Mosquito Swarm

Mosquito Swarm A burst of damage and healing. The orb explodes into 3-6 mosquitos. Each mosquito seeks out a random enemy, hits it for 80-120 damage, and if it gets the kill, steals 1 health for you.

Shotgun

Shotgun This is for all you pinball wizards. After this orb hits a wall, it shoots 3-7 iron baby balls. These mini-balls move at 200% speed but are destroyed on their first hit. Great for ricochet shots.

Voluptuous Egg Sac

Voluptuous Egg Sac When this orb hits an enemy, it explodes into 2-3 new egg sacs. It is a simple way to multiply your forces, but it has a 3 second cooldown before you can fire it again.


Freeze Combos: Stop! Hammer Time.

Keep your enemies on ice.

Wraith

Wraith A simple, effective orb. It passes through enemies and freezes any enemy it touches for 0.8 seconds. Great for stunning a whole line of monsters.

Blizzard

Blizzard This is an area-of-effect freeze. It freezes all enemies within a 2 tile radius for 0.8 seconds and deals a little 1-50 damage. Perfect for when you are surrounded. (Also works with Wind.)

Freeze Ray

Freeze Ray This orb emits a freeze ray when it hits an enemy, dealing 20-50 damage to all enemies in its path. More importantly, it has a 10% chance of freezing them for a massive 10 seconds. (Works with both Lasers.)

Frozen Flame

Frozen Flame A painful freeze. Applies 1 stack of frostburn (max 4) on hit. Frostburnt units take 8-12 damage per stack per second AND receive 25% more damage from everything else.

Glacier

Glacier Create your own ice traps. This orb releases glacial spikes that deal 15-30 damage and freeze enemies for 2 seconds when they touch them.


Ghost Combos: Now You See Me…

Phase through reality and strike from unexpected angles.

Wraith

Wraith The basic Ghost orb. It passes through enemies and freezes them for 0.8 seconds. Simple, but very effective for crowd control.

Assassin

Assassin The ultimate backstab tool. This orb passes through the front of enemies, letting you line up perfect shots that deal 30% bonus damage from behind. (Also works with Dark.)

Virus

Virus A ghostly plague. Applies 1 stack of disease (max 8) that ticks for 3-6 damage. The real power is its 15% chance per second to spread to other enemies. (Also works with Cell and Bleed.)

Phantom

Phantom Mark an enemy for death. This curses enemies on hit, causing them to take a 100-200 damage burst after being hit 5 times.

Soul Sucker

Soul Sucker This orb is all about sustain and debuffing. It passes through enemies and saps them, giving you a 30% chance to steal 1 health and reduce their attack damage by 20%. The lifesteal only works once per enemy.


Iron Combos: The Unstoppable Force

Hard-hitting, armor-piercing, and relentless.

Bomb

Bomb A big, heavy explosion. When this orb hits an enemy, it detonates for 150-300 damage to all nearby enemies. Has a 3 second cooldown before you can fire it again.

Assassin

Assassin A heavy-metal backstab. This orb passes through the front of enemies, setting you up for a 30% bonus damage shot from behind. (Also works with Dark.)

Lightning Rod

Lightning Rod Turn your enemies into walking tesla coils. This plants a lightning rod in any enemy it hits. That enemy then gets struck by lightning every 3 seconds, zapping up to 8 nearby enemies for 1-30 damage.

Shotgun

Shotgun A wall-bouncing nightmare. After hitting a wall, this orb unleashes 3-7 iron baby balls that move at 200% speed. They break on impact, but the burst damage is incredible.

Hemorrhage

Hemorrhage The tank buster. Applies 3 bleed stacks. If you hit an enemy that has 12 or more stacks, it consumes them all to deal 20% of their current health as damage.


Laser Combos (Vertical & Horizontal)

Fire beams of pure energy. Note: All these combos work with BOTH types of lasers!

Holy Laser

Holy Laser Purge the screen. This orb deals 24-36 damage to all enemies in the same row AND column as you. Fantastic for clearing out lines of enemies.

Freeze Ray

Freeze Ray A penetrating beam of cold. Emits a freeze ray on hit that deals 20-50 damage to all enemies in its path. It also has a 10% chance to freeze them solid for 10 seconds.

Laser Beam

Laser Beam A blinding beam of light. Emits a laser beam on hit that deals 30-42 damage and blinds enemies for 8 seconds, making them miss their attacks.

Radiation Beam

Radiation Beam Melt their defenses. Emits a radiation beam on hit that deals 24-48 damage and applies 1 stack of radiation (max 5). Each stack makes the enemy take 10% more damage from all sources.


Light Combos: Let There Be Light!

Blind your foes and burn them with holy energy.

Sun

Sun Become incandescent. This orb blinds all enemies in view and applies 1 stack of burn (max 5) every second. This powerful burn deals 6-12 damage per stack per second.

Laser Beam

Laser Beam (Works with both Lasers) This emits a laser beam on hit, dealing 30-42 damage and blinding enemies for 8 seconds.

Flash

Flash A screen-wide stun. After hitting an enemy, this orb damages all enemies on screen for a tiny 1-3 damage, but more importantly, it blinds them all for 2 seconds.

Flicker

Flicker Death by a thousand cuts. This orb deals 1-7 damage to every single enemy on screen every 1.4 seconds. It adds up!

Lovestruck

Lovestruck Make them heal you. Inflicts lovestruck on enemies for 20 seconds. Lovestruck enemies have a 50% chance to heal you for 5 health when they attack. (Also works with Lightning.)


Lightning Combos: Ride the Lightning

Call down the storm and electrocute your enemies.

Lightning Rod

Lightning Rod Tag ’em and bag ’em. Plants a lightning rod in an enemy on hit. That enemy is then struck by lightning every 3 seconds, dealing 1-30 damage to up to 8 nearby enemies.

Blizzard

Blizzard A shocking cold front. Freezes all enemies within a 2 tile radius for 0.8 seconds and zaps them for 1-50 damage. (Also works with Wind.)

Flash

Flash A blinding flash of lightning. When this hits an enemy, it damages all enemies on screen for 1-3 damage and blinds them all for 2 seconds.

Storm

Storm You are the eye of the storm. This orb emits lightning to strike nearby enemies every second, dealing 1-40 damage. Just walk near things to kill them.

Lovestruck

Lovestruck A shocking romance. Inflicts lovestruck on enemies for 20 seconds. Lovestruck enemies have a 50% chance of healing you for 5 health every time they attack you. (Also works with Light.)


Poison Combos: Toxic Avenger

Melt them from the inside out with these venomous orbs.

Swamp

Swamp Create a toxic minefield. This orb leaves behind tar blobs that deal 15-30 damage, slow enemies by 50% for 7 seconds, and apply 1 stack of poison (max 8).

Nuclear Bomb

Nuclear Bomb This is not just a bomb; it is a statement. It explodes on hit for 300-500 damage to nearby enemies. But the real kicker? It applies 1 stack of radiation to everyone on screen (including you!) that lasts forever (max 5 stacks). Each stack increases damage received by 10%. Has a 3 second cooldown.

Virus

Virus The plague orb. Applies 1 stack of disease (max 8) that ticks for 3-6 damage and has a 15% chance to spread to nearby enemies every second. (Also works with Bleed and Cell.)

Radiation Beam

Radiation Beam A beam of pure decay. Emits a radiation beam on hit that deals 24-48 damage and applies 1 stack of radiation (max 5). Each stack makes the target take 10% more damage.

Noxious

Noxious A piercing cloud of poison. This orb passes through enemies and applies 3 stacks of poison to all enemies within a 2 tile radius. (Also works with Dark.)


Vampire Combos: Blood Is Life

Sustain yourself by draining the life from your enemies.

Vampire Lord

Vampire Lord The quintessential lifesteal orb. Applies 3 bleed stacks on hit. When you hit an enemy with 10 or more stacks, consume them all to heal for 1 health. (Also works with Dark.)

Mosquito Swarm

Mosquito Swarm An explosive heal. This orb explodes into 3-6 mosquitos that seek out enemies for 80-120 damage. If a mosquito gets a kill, it steals 1 health for you.

Mosquito King

Mosquito King Create your own lifestealing army. Spawns a mosquito every time it hits an enemy. These mosquitos deal 80-120 damage and steal 1 health for you if they land the killing blow.

Succubus

Succubus A charming way to heal. This orb has a 4% chance to charm an enemy for 9 seconds. Hitting an already charmed enemy heals you for 1 health.

Soul Sucker

Soul Sucker Drain them dry. This orb passes through enemies and has a 30% chance to steal 1 health while also reducing their attack damage by 20%. The lifesteal only triggers once per enemy.


Wind Combos: Control the Airwaves

Use the power of the wind to push, pull, and shred your enemies.

Blizzard

Blizzard A freezing gale. This orb freezes all enemies within a 2 tile radius for 0.8 seconds and deals 1-50 damage. Great for getting some breathing room. (Also works with Lightning.)

Inferno

Inferno A swirling vortex of fire. This orb applies 1 stack of burn every second to all enemies within a 2 tile radius. The burn lasts 6 seconds and ticks for 3-7 damage per stack.

Storm

Storm A furious thunderstorm. This orb emits lightning to strike nearby enemies every second, dealing 1-40 damage.

Noxious

Noxious A toxic gale. This orb passes through enemies and applies 3 stacks of poison to all nearby enemies within a 2 tile radius. (Also works with Dark.)

Sandstorm

Sandstorm A blinding squall. This orb goes through enemies and is surrounded by a storm that deals 10-20 damage per second and blinds nearby enemies for 3 seconds.


Other: The Legendary Combos

These are some of the most powerful and unique combinations in the game.

Satan

Satan Become the Lord of Hell. While this orb is active, it applies 1 stack of burn (max 5) to all active enemies per second. This burn deals a massive 10-20 damage per stack. It also makes them all go berserk, causing them to attack each other for 15-24 damage. Pure, unadulterated chaos.

Nosferatu

Nosferatu Unleash the swarm of the night. This orb spawns a vampire bat on every bounce. Each bat flies towards a random enemy, deals a huge 132-176 damage, and then… turns into a Vampire Lord orb. Yes, you read that right. This is how you fill the entire screen with lifestealing orbs.


Passives: The Game-Changers

Do not sleep on these. These passive items can completely define your run.

Cornucopia

Cornucopia More is always better. Every time you create baby balls (from Maggot, for example), this has a chance to spawn 0-1 additional baby balls.

Soul Reaver

Soul Reaver The ultimate sustain tool. Each kill heals you for 1 health. Even better, you can heal past your maximum health at 30% efficiency. This is how you get those massive health bars.

Wings of the Anointed

Wings of the Anointed Gotta go fast. Your balls move 40% faster and you move 20% faster. As a massive bonus, you no longer take damage from environmental hazards on the ground (like lava or tar).

Deadeye’s Cross

Deadeye’s Cross Crit-tastic! This simply increases your critical hit chance to 60%. Combine this with any fast-hitting orb for insane damage output.

Tormenters Mask

Tormenters Mask A terrifying opener. Enemies have a 10% chance of dying immediately the very first time they detect you. This can clear out a significant portion of a room before the fight even starts.

Odiferous Shell

Odiferous Shell Touch of death. When you physically touch an enemy, they have a 50% chance of instantly dying. A high-risk, high-reward passive for aggressive players.

Phantom Regalia

Phantom Regalia Make every orb a ghost. Your balls now go through enemies until they hit the back wall. As a bonus, they deal 50% more damage while passing through enemies.

Gracious Impaler

Gracious Impaler The “lol, you are dead” passive. Your critical hits now have a 5% chance to instantly kill enemies. This works on everything. Yes, even bosses.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: What is the best combo for beginners? Answer: I would strongly recommend going for a Vampire Lord build. The lifesteal you get from it is extremely forgiving and will help you survive much longer while you learn enemy patterns.

Question: What is the highest damage combo? Answer: “Highest” is tough, but for raw boss-melting, it is hard to beat Hemorrhage (deals 20% of current health) or Frozen Flame (makes enemies take 25% more damage from all sources). And of course, Gracious Impaler gives you a 5% chance to just… win.

Question: How do I find these combinations? Answer: It is all about experimenting! Any time you pick up a new orb, check to see if it combines with one you are already carrying. This guide is here to help you aim for the ones you want.

Question: This orb says “Also works with Dark”. What does that mean? Answer: It means you can use either orb to make the combo. For example, to make Vampire Lord, you can combine a Vampire orb with either a Bleed orb or a Dark orb. This gives you more flexibility!

Question: What is the most fun combo in your opinion? Answer: Oh, it has to be Nosferatu or Satan. Nosferatu fills the screen with bats that turn into more orbs, and it is just pure chaos. Satan makes all the enemies burn and attack each other. You just stand back and watch the fireworks. A close second is Black Hole for that satisfying “delete” on an annoying enemy.
